As a paid intern at Hamilton Juffer + Associates, you will receive an introduction to public accounting and the responsibilities that are normally assigned to a tax associate. Interns will have the opportunity to work on business tax returns, individual tax returns, trust tax returns, and research projects in the area of taxation.

Hamilton Juffer + Associates has an outstanding client base and specializes in tax planning and compliance. All of the partners at HJA were previously employed by a “Big Four” accounting firm. This allows interns to have access to the knowledge and experience normally associated with a large “Big Four” firm while working in a small office environment.


Candidates must be accounting majors proficient in the use of basic software. Above-average written and verbal communication skills, project management skills, and problem-solving/analytical skills are essential. Candidates are expected to be proactive, have a strong work ethic, and maintain professional behavior and appearance.


Our firm offers one to two paid internships in the spring of each year. Applicants are selected the previous fall. Applications for Spring 2020 are due by November 1, 2019.
